Cars never sell at "full price" (or "sticker" as its referred in the car business). If you're paying sticker for a new car, you're a moron. THIS is why your comics are never funny, they make no logical sense.
-
If you pay sticker for a new apple product, the same might apply...

You can't negotiate most things the same way you can a car. Unless you want to get it second-hand, that is.
-
You're equating buying a traditional car with buying any Apple product. Have you tried haggling on a Tesla? You'll get laughed out of the showroom. People are paying full price for that car, and if Apple unveils their own car, people will pay full price for that too. Just like any other Apple product. Sent from the iMore App

I agree that the comic isn't funny, but a single non-negotiable price is clearly the future of car sales. Tesla sells directly, without traditional dealerships and without price negotiations. There's very little for dealers when you are buying the exact same product everywhere. The web can give you more information than a dealer could know about any model, and the only wiggle room that the dealer has in price is how much of their own unnecessary middle-man pay cut they're willing to give up. The showroom – actually sitting down and getting a feel of the car – is going to be a tough one to get rid of. I haven't quite figured out how that will work, but I imagine if Apple gets into selling cars you will pay sticker price from something like an Apple (car) Store.

Yes, ever heard of Carmax? Despite their "no haggle" pricing strategy, they are outperforming most dealerships. Sent from the iMore App

I wish we would invest in a less selfish way to travel than cars. No matter how efficient and electric cars are they're still awful for our planet. Sent from the iMore App
