Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is the latest entry in the Zelda series that explores the events that unfolded 100 years before The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It features many characters who appeared in Breath of the Wild, and there are hours of content to hack and slash your way through. But once you get through the main campaign, you might be looking for even more.
Luckily, wave one of two DLC packages coming was released June 18, 2021 and is playable now. Wave two comes out on Oct. 29, 2021. Here's everything we know.
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity DLC What can we expect?

Nintendo announced a roadmap featuring two waves of DLC. The first wave was made available in June and featured an expanded roster, new weapon types, new challenges, and new enemies. The second, available Oct. 29, 2021, will have new character vignettes, new stages, an even larger roster, and new battle skills.
The new characters coming in wave two were revealed in the Sept. 23 Nintendo Direct to be Purah and Robbie, but there is still one more coming that has yet to be announced. Sooga and Astor seem have unused voice clips buried deep in the game's code. Considering that models for them are seen throughout the game, chances are that these characters were not scrapped but might be planned as future DLC.
This is very inline with this franchise. Fire Emblem Warriors and Hyrule Warriors enjoyed much post-launch DLC, both free and paid.
More allies for the fight against evil
While we wait for the final DLC wave, there's still plenty of enemies to fight and Koroks to find in the game. Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity may not be a true sequel to Breath of the Wild, but it shines as a sequel to 2014's Hyrule Warriors and is one of the best action games on the Nintendo Switch. We'll be sure to let you know when Nintendo officially announces the final character for this DLC.
