Yes! Your AirPort Express can now stream AirPlay 2

If you have Apple's — recently discontinued — Airport Express, good news: It now works with AirPlay 2. That's Apple's updated, multi-room aware, streaming technology. The same one used for HomePod and Apple TV.
You'll need to update to get it, according to Apple:
Firmware update 7.8 adds AirPlay 2 support to 802.11n AirPort Express base stations.
But once you do, and plug in any audio system, it'll join the list of available sources. Then it's just a matter of invoking Siri, or tapping the interface, to tell it to play.
It's so great that Apple added this update, especially for a now defunct product.
Rock on.
