iPad Accessories Already Facing Delays, Shortages?
9to5Mac has been keeping a close eye on official Apple iPad accessories [Apple Online Store link] and while the iPad dock and iPod Dock to VGA adapter remain on April 3 schedule, the iPad Case is now listed as shipping in mid April while the iPad Keyboard Dock and iPad 10W USB Power Adapter have fallen to May. What's more:
Perhaps even worse then those accessory delays is the iPad Camera Kit's current situation. The kit which allows you to connect an SD card or digital cameras to your iPad is not even on Apple's online store.
Did Apple underestimate demand for some of the iPad accessories? Did you manage to order one before the delays?

I managed to get the keyboard dock and the regular dock with my order and looked at the time they were still scheduled for the April timeframe. I ordered the day after preorders started. I never saw the camera dock accessory on the site when I ordered or would have snatched that up as well.
It's because this whole fiasco is rushed. Being tied into another product on top of all the secrecy because of it. Trying to bring along two products that use the same software on different timelines is probably a lot of work. This is why it's looking like a oversized iPod. This is why instead of updating us with information about a new product they are constantly defending it.
The online order status for my "iPad 10W USB Power Adapter" is still showing "Late April", as it did when I placed my order last Friday morning. Whether or not it actually ships in "Late April" is anyone's guess.

Rubbish, apple need to pick up the pace
My keyboard dock was already listed as a mid-April delivery when I ordered, just two hours after pre-orders began. It would appear that Apple is leaving plenty of room for third-party suppliers to meet the market's needs for accessories. iKit.com already has two fine-looking cases, one tough plastic and another smooth leather, ready to ship in April.
