We've heard from a couple readers that they've received shipping notifications with tracking numbers for their iPad Wi-Fi + 3G so it looks like that Friday, April 30 release date is firming up.

For their part, AT&T posted a online PDF document that detailing their data plans for the new 3G equipped iPad.

Some of the highlights that you may not be aware of are as follows:

  • Your service will automatically renew every 30 days to provide a more seamless data experience.
  • If you choose to select the 250 MB plan and go over that amount of data in your selected plan before the 30 day period is over, you have the option to choose to purchase another 250MB of data, or simply select the unlimited plan and either choice will be good for 30 days from the date you activated the new plan.
  • All data plans for iPad include access to more than 20,000 AT&T Wi-Fi Hot Spots nationwide at no additional cost.

If you've gotten your shipping notification, let us know in comments!

We all know how crazy Apple is with release dates.

  10. Mark says:

Asheville nc and I still have no update tracking. Nothing. I am going crazy

  11. bsangs says:

  12. Bea says:

  13. El Oscuro Secreto says:

  18. Justin says:

Recieved confirmation early Thursday morning of Overnight FedEx with tracking number to be delivered by 3pm in Okklahoma City area

  19. Mark says:

    Thus sucks I have nothing.

  20. BobH says:

Nothing here either. Portland Oregon area. I ordered on April 3rd. Status still says Prepared for Shipment.

  21. Atom says:

Ordered mine March 12. Nothing nothing NOTHING. In California. Maybe the west coast ships later in the day...?

  22. Atom says:

UPDATE Decided to check my order status on apple.com. I have a FedEx number there but did not receive an email. Weird, but I can live with it.

  23. JG says:

I ordered my 64GB 3g April 3, says prepared for ship. Earlier this week my credit card had pending amount, that disappeared a day later. My guess is that they were checking funds for later shipping. Still wonder how it's going to get here by tomorrow if it doesn't ship from somewhere close. Live in Florida

  24. BobH says:

I saw a posting yesterday (sorry, don't remember what site). It said that Apple had positioned the units in regional warehouses across the country so they could ship to all locations on time. Hopefully that is true.

  25. Mrs. Smith says:

I've got a tracking number!! Yay! Mine also says that it will be here in Washington State by 3pm! I have my fingers crossed!

  26. Jipke says:

I can confirm that i recieved nothing! Worse yet: there exists for as yet not even a release date of the iPad in The Netherlands! ;-( Apple: shame on you!

  27. Atom says:

Mine is being shipped from Rancho Cordova, Southern California. I am in Northern California--easy stuff for FedEx

  28. afwriter says:

Apr 29, 2010 2:38 PM Arrived at FedEx location NEWARK, NJ Apr 29, 2010 9:26 AM Shipment information sent to FedEx Apr 29, 2010 4:58 AM Picked up MIDDLETOWN, PA

The interesting part is that it was picked up in Middletown, BEFORE the shipping information was sent. That likely means that the source saying the units were indeed pre-placed in mutliple locations for delivery tomorrow.

I would expect everyone who pre-ordered one of the 3G units will get a confirmation number by tonight at the latest, but even so, it looks like your new iPad is already no more than a couple of hours away from you and likely in driving distance for the FedEx trucks tomorrow.

  29. mactwisted says:

shipped today, thursday, with fedex tracking number for delivery on friday by 3. texas

  30. BobH says:

SHIPPED!!! Picked up in Rancho Cordova, CA. Going to Portland Or. Delivery by 3pm Friday!!!

  31. John says:

Same as BobH except coming to San Diego. Glad they held to their promised arrival date. Makes the weekend a little more exciting.

  32. genecio says:

Received email in the early AM, I spoke to fedex and they confirmed delivery by 1500 EST! Apparently Apple had placed the iPad in strategic warehouse locations roughly a week or so ago AFTER AT&T finished doing their part! So they were ready all along! Ironically the accessories came from overseas in bulk to the warehouses!

  33. Kitty says:

Shipping to the west coast from a pick up site in California, for delivery on April 30 before 4:30. Tracking number shown on apple store account website. Apple confirmed by phone.

  34. DJ says:

I guess this is the only place I can say what I'm really feeling. My wife doesn't get it. She cares very little about tech, but let me just say... I am FREEKIN EXCITED AS SH#T!!!! I got a tracking number for my iPad 3G and it's coming by 10:30A EST, I'm in Maryland. Well, so much for work tomorrow, I know what I'll be doing! W00T

  35. BobH says:

Rec'd it!!! 1:30pm in Oregon. Yeah!!!
