Siri co-founder Dag Kittlaus leaves Apple
According to a report from All Things D, Siri co-founder Dag Kittlaus has now left Apple. Apple launched Siri with the iPhone 4S earlier this month after buying the company back in April 2010.
There were several reasons for the departure, which was amicable and has been planned for a while, sources said. They included Kittlaus’ family being in Chicago, a desire to take time off and an interest in brainstorming new entrepreneurial ideas.Kittlaus was the lead for Apple during Siri’s introduction to the iPhone 4S and has been Siri’s CEO since April 2007. He apparently left Apple just after the launch of the iPhone 4S.

I concur.
Heaven forbid a entrepreneur and innovator pursue new goals.
This guy should be the next steve jobs, he has a inspiring mind like his too.
Probably the golden parachute plus a vacation, were the inspiration for him leaving. Money talks.

Sorry to hear. Siri has potential but is definitely still in beta. Had a chance to play around with it on a friend's phone for about an hour (I'm a 4 owner who's not upgrading). I asked it 5x: "What does the S stand for in iPhone 4S"? It kept telling me "I don't understand 4 ASS"?!?!
My guess is it was rushed to market to give the 4S one more feature that they can sell. In time, it'll be great though...
sweet hair bro.
May he too found out Forstall is an a-hole to work with, which can't be a surprise to anyone.
