iPad 3 on schedule for March/April 2012 release

Randomly accurate rumor site Digitimes claims word from supply chain sources that Apple is on track to release the iPad 3 within the next 3-4 months.
The next generation iPads are expected to be available in the next 3-4 months as makers in the supply chain have started delivering parts and components for the new tablets to OEM contractors while reducing those prepared for iPad 2, according to sources in the supply chain.
This comes as no surprise to TiPb, as the original iPad first hit the streets in April of 2010, with the iPad 2 following up in March of this year. News that component makers in the supply chain are on target for a March/April release means that Apple isn't running into any manufacturing issues as previously speculated.
The next iPad is also rumored to sport a 2048x1536 Retina display with around a 300 ppi, handily beating out the 1024x768 resolution of the current iPad 2.

Just in time for my birthday! :)
Yep, same here :) March 23rd would be the perfect launch date.
No assumptions from me. The iPhone launch proved at Apple will change things up as necessary.
February 24th is my guess ;)
Steve Jobs birthday! That'd be pretty awesome actually.
Actually, the ppi would be 263.92.
Please ban this idiot... Seriously those spammers are getting annoying.
Great. I'll be ready and waiting for my iPad 3. Looking forward to it.

Can't wait to upgrade. Love my OG iPad. Just hope it has as good a camera as my daughters 4G S. That thing takes awesome pics, even better than my droid Photon, which isn't shabby.
