Purported iPad 5 photos show off new space gray finish

iPad 5 to come in Space Gray

Some high quality photos of what's purportedly the next-generation iPad 5 have surfaced, and they show off the same space gray finish Apple introduced with the iPhone 5s back in September. The photos, including the above image, were posted by Sonny Dickson:

We’ve gotten our hands on a number of sharp high-res images of the Space Grey 5th-gen iPad casing and front panel. Notably, it shows off the highly anticipated slimmer iPad-mini like design it is expected to launch with.

They match the design iMore reported back in January, and what we expect to see on October 22, along with a new iPad mini and new Macs, including the newly designed Mac Pro.

Excited yet?

Why would anyone want *coloured* aluminium, when you could have just aluminium? It's a design abomination! I dare them to make a gold one just to prove that they have no taste at all anymore.

Have you noticed that the Lightning accent on the Black/Space Gray model of this iPad 5 is actually Space Gray. On the Space Gray iPhone 5s those accents are silver.

if apple just going to change the color, put touch id and make the ipad 5 look like a big mini ipad and that's all ,when the new samsung galaxy note 10.1 2014 edition pack so many new features, I will definitely sell my ipad 4 to get the note 10.1

Just sold my iPad mini today in hopes for the new one. It's been a great piece of tech. I actually won it on iMore through a contest last December. When the iPad mini was first announced I felt my retina iPad (3rd gen) was enough and I wanted a retina display, but after winning the mini I quickly realized it was the only iPad I needed and gave my wife my retina iPad. I love the size and hope to see something great out of the mini 2 in a couple weeks. My debit card is ready apple. Please don't make us wait in line like you did for our iPhone 5s.
