iPod nano watches get seriously cool with TikTok and LunaTik

iPod nano watch LunaTik_Exploded

Take an iPod nano that's just begging to be worn as a watch and add renown Nike designer Scott Wilson and you get the TikTok and LunaTik, a truly sweet project on KickStarter.

TikTok and LunaTik transform the iPod Nano into the world's coolest multi-touch watches. The idea to use the Nano as a watch was an obvious one ever since the product was announced. But we wanted to create a collection that was well designed, engineered and manufactured from premium materials and that complemented the impeccable quality of Apple products. Not just clipped on a cheap strap as an afterthought. We wanted to create a product that your friends and strangers would stop you and ask "WTF is that??? And where can I get one?!"

The only issue I have with the Nano watch is that if you want to listen to music with the watch you need to get longer headphones. Either way this watch is very cool.

If you like them you can pledge your support -- and get in on the pre-order -- now via the link below. I'm not even going to lie, I'm waiting on one of each already!

Video after the break!

If I wore a watch, this would be the one I'd wear.

fastlane says:

Very cool. Too bad I can't stand wearing jewelry of any kind, or I'd buy one.

Kenmal says:

Can u hack that think and put like a watch clock style face onto it, dunno that makes sense I guess, I do see it has the time displayed on the top. Ive never seen that thing so I realy don't know what it does, or can do??

joeblow84 says:

@Kenmal, the new nano has options to display a clock face on demand and on waking.

Bob Marley14 says:

Sold........I had one of those " Why didn't I think of that" moments.
Doesn't matter really. Everyone has been ripping my music off since I left....

marktaylor#AC says:

The only way I would wear that is if it has GPS built in and I was going out for a run. It looks like a Garmin Forerunner watch.

colemaneuclid says:

I might get a nano just for this wristband. I love watches and this is really cool to me.

ren says:

The nano needs to have Bluetooth built into it or have the band plug in and transmit Bluetooth. A cord going from your wrist to your ears is going to snag alot of stuff. Plus the cord looks stupid.

Jcal08 says:

@ren... Omg I never thought about that.. Apple should seriously do that if they keep this model around next year.. Would be a crazy good selling point!

JayRoc#IM says:

This actually looks good, i would really like this but I can't stand wearing watches or jewelry in general

Chaka Jon says:

The other day I was at Best Buy and I ran into the Apple guy I used to work with when I worked for HP. I noticed his watch immediately. He took a leather bracelet that he had bought at H&M a couple of years ago and attached his Nano to it. It looked so damn cool, I even snapped a pic of it with my iPhone. I wish I could post it here for all to see.

FLskydiver says:

Cord isn't an issue I guess if you wear long sleeve shirts (run it up you sleeve). Did that for remote camera shutter releases in the early days before moving to a tounge switch skydiving and pretty hard to snag anything that way.
You wouldn't want to wear short sleeves though, unless you tape the cord at the elbow. Not very practical.

Reading this article to myself suddenly gives me a certain urge to listen to a certain song from a certain artist named Ke$ha.

parabel says:

Very nice! Too bad it's not water-resistant. And a little too big. Maybe next year with the next nano...

Analog Spirit says:

@parabel: Agreed; if it were waterproof (or at least water-resistant), I'd get one in a heartbeat. If they ever make a fully enclosed, waterproof model (say, down to 30m/100ft) offering protection similar to Casio's G-Shock watches, I'd get it right away. I don't know how you'd make the headphone jack work with it being fully enclosed, tho (Bluetooth, maybe?). PEACE

spook† says:

I'll probably buy one...especially considering I don't plan on being submerged in 30 meters of water anytime soon...

Crayolaboi says:

Wish the nano still had a speaker, main reason I haven't downgraded to the new model. This does look cool though.

iPhone geek says:

Awesome man ....
Didnt Apple imagine this before ... happy these guys did
And its an awesome integration

john kellogg says:

Question: Can one listen to Nano with heaphones while wearing as a watch?

gadgetboy says:

I bought mine last week from They sell LunaTik cheaper than Amazon and with speedy delivery, I can't complain.
