Mirror's Edge for iPhone - App Review

Mirror's Edge for iPhone by EA recently debuted in the app store. [iTunes Link]  This is one game I was pretty excited to get my hands on.  If you own an iPhone 4, odds are, you won't be disappointed as all graphics are beautifully optimized for the retina display.  There's also a version available for the iPad which clocks in at a bit higher of a price.  We'll look at that version in a later review as well.  For now, click on through to read a full review and see tons of screenshots for the iPhone version!

Apple profiles big businesses utilizing iPads

Business and iPad are two words that seem to be coming together more and more often. Apple has now added a couple big business profiles to their site showing what a few of the bigger players experiences have been like since mixing the iPad into their current business routine.

Among them are Hyatt Hotels & Resorts, NYC Prosthodontics, charity: water, and RehabCare. A Hyatt employee had this to say -

Notified for iPhone - Jailbreak App Review

Notified for iPhone is a notification app available via Cydia.  It allows users to have more of an Android-style notification system.  I'd been on the hunt for a better notification system for quite a while.  This is one area I feel Apple has sorely neglected, and probably one of my biggest peeves.  Apps like LockInfo and Intelliscreen have stepped in to pick up some of the slack, but in my opinion, Notified does a cleaner job of presenting notifications.

iOS 4.1 Jailbreak on the way?

Several tweets this morning are indicating that a jailbreak for iOS 4.1 could come sooner rather than later.  Could there be any better news you ask? Why yes! Jailbreaker @pod2g as well as other sources are indicating that this "particular" exploit would require Apple to flash to a whole new bootrom in order to fix it.

iOS now 3rd most popular internet platform after Windows, Mac

Net Applications is reporting that iOS has passed Linux to become the third most popular platform accessing the internet. With a 1.1% share, they're still behind big brother Mac OS X's 5% and way behind Windows all-encompassing 91.3% share. However, for a mobile OS, especially considering the next most popular mobile OS, Android, is at 0.2%, that's a fairly huge accomplishment. According to Vince Vizzaccaro, VP of NetApps:
