Of course Apple is already working on a new iPad mini with a higher resolution screen, and a full-sized iPad that will be thinner. Apple is always working on better, next generation versions of their devices. However, if you want to scratch "supposedly said so by sources in the supply-chain" off your rumor list, now you can.

The qualitative difference when writing on an iPad

Typing on an iPad is a decidedly deliberate affair. Absent a hardware keyboard, there's no feeling to the keys, no mechanical switch to the process, no muscle memory to produce words and phrase at the speed of thought. You almost have to look at what you're typing, and look again to make sure what was rendered matched your intent. Unlike a laptop keyboard, an instrument of will that simply puts character to screen, the iPad feels like something that needs to be coaxed at times, and that splits your attention between tool and creation. Jason Snell of Macworld has started exploring the differences he experiences when typing on a laptop compared to his iPad.

Deutsche Telekom CEO Rene Obermann just stated in an investors' day meeting that T-Mobile USA will be launching Apple products in 2013, and speculation is heavy that that will include the iPhone.

iPhone 5 launching in China on December 14, iPad 4 and iPad mini Wi-Fi on December 7

The iPhone 5, along with the Wi-Fi only versions of the iPad 4 and iPad mini would go on sale in China within the next few weeks. According to Apple, the iPhone 5 will debut on Friday, December 14, and the iPads will debut on Friday, December 7.
