This year's iPhone 12 series is the first to come without a wall charger. It does, however, come with a USB-C to Lightning cable. For some, that's no problem. We already have a half-dozen of them in a drawer somewhere. For others, however, this may be your first USB-C cable and you may not have anywhere to plug it in. While Apple is using this new packaging to save on the environmental impact, it isn't exactly going to save on your pocketbook. Luckily, USB-C wall adapters have been around for a while and are relatively inexpensive. With these wall adapter Prime Day deals, you can get one for even less. Stock up! You're probably going to want more than one.
Remember, you need a USB-C wall charger
Apple has removed the charger and headphones from the box of the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Each does include a USB-C to Lightning Cable. What does that mean? It means that the cable only works with a USB-C port, which is different than traditional accessory plugs, which are USB-A. If you're unsure of whether you have USB-A or USB-C adapters, a quick way to tell is that the A style has sharper corners, is larger, and wider. The C style has rounded corners and is about half the size of the other. Don't get it confused with a MicroUSB port! That one will have small indentions on one side. I know. It's confusing.
If you are getting any iPhone 12 in the lineup, you'll need a USB-C wall adapter if you don't want to use a wireless charging pad or a USB-C port on your computer to charge it. That's where these Prime Day deals come in

Do you need a USB-C wall adapter?
Not necessarily. First off, you may already have one if you bought an iPad Pro in the last couple of years (2018 or newer). That comes with an Apple-brand USB-C wall adapter. The iPad Air 4 will also come with one. You don't have to use the Lightning cable to charge your iPhone anymore, though. You could also use a wireless charging pad instead. I haven't used a Lightning cable to charge my phone in years. Today's wireless charging pads are fast and efficient. As you can tell from these deals, though, you can pick up a USB-C wall adapter for just a few bucks if you want to make sure you're covered.
