iOS 7 is bringing tighter integration with automobiles starting with the 2014 vehicle model year. One of the ten features of iOS 7 shown off at WWDC today is iOS in the Car, which brings more features into the displays built in to an increasing number of cars from major manufacturers.
iOS in the Car emphasizes Siri for hands-free operation to access driving directions, play music and read and respond to messages, all while showing relevant content on the car's built-in displays. Apple counts Honda, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, Ferrari, Chevrolet, Infinity, Kia, Hyundai, Volvo, Acura, Opel and Jaguar among the car manufacturers integrating iOS in the Car into their new models.
