Hey, wow, look here -- more Apple iTablet/iSlate rumors, and this time they're bringing aluminum (unibody?) casing rumors along for the wild ride:
Does aluminum, which was removed from the iPhone with the 2nd gen iPhone 3G, make sense in an iTablet with an HSPA or CDMA radio? Or will that get the plastic finish, and the Wi-Fi only version get the aluminum? That would be two finishes like we heard rumored previously, and would mirror the iPhone/iPod touch model... What do you think?

i think its nice to diversify your options, some people love the look of the brushed aluminum..
I hope it'll be exactly like the screen of a MacBook pro/air. That thin would be amazing. And still any rumor's of that light peak thing Rene? That would be very necessary if it's really thin
There is enough room under the plastic besal around the screen or under the screen for wifi and 3G antennas. Radio waves have no particular problem penetrating either glass or plastic.
If you design your circuitry smartly the aluminum case could BE the antenna.
What is the islate? Is it like a portable mac? Like just a bug touch screen computer?
Oh, for the love of...
I'm betting on a matte black carbon fiber casing. Mmmmmmmmmm.....
I would like to have a wifi only device and just tether my iPhone to it so I don't have to pay two separate data plans
