Weekly Photo Contest: Food!

I couldn't think of a better time of year to do a contest about food than the week of Thanksgiving, if you celebrate it that is. If you don't, well you have to eat anyways! If there are two things that flood photo sharing services more than anything, it's selfies and food. This week, we're going to focus on the latter. It couldn't get any easier than this, show us what you're eating for Thanksgiving, or for any other special occasion this week. Whoever makes us hungry the fastest, wins!

The contest begins today and ends Tuesday, December 3rd at 10 p.m. Eastern time.

It's also time to announce the winner of our last photo contest! And the winner is..

Congrats to forum members drkmstr and ITS ME DAVID on winning our rule of thirds contest! Out of all the entries, these two grabbed our attention not only because they clearly followed the rules and guidelines, but because the overall composure is great. Awesome job guys!

We'll be contacting you both shortly to collect your Mobile Nations Prize pack!

And without any further delay, here are the details on this week's photo contest...

The prize: Olloclip for iPhone!

Aside from a thumbs up from the entire iMore crew, we'll be sending the winner a brand new Olloclip for the iPhone of your choosing. If you aren't already familiar, the Olloclip is an external lens attachment that lets you capture wide-angle, fisheye, and macro shots with your iPhone. Perfect for any situation you might be thrown!

The rules

Submitted photos must have been taken with an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

We'll check the EXIF data of the original file to verify and any edits must have been done with an iPhone or iPad app. No Photoshop, Lightroom, or other external editing programs! If you have external lens accessories such as an Olloclip or other snap-on lens, you are more than welcome to use them.

You can submit as many photos as you'd like, but remember, this is a contest, so make sure you submit your best work!

Resources

Now, before you run off to take your photo, remember that it's not technical skill alone that will claim this prize. Even if you're not the best photographer (yet!), a great eye and a great subject can still get you the win.

However, a little help can never hurt, so make sure you check out our iPhone photography series for some tips.

How to submit

Submitting your photos is easy. just head over to the iMore Photography Forum and post your photos to the official contest thread. Don't forget to state what device you have and which apps, if any, you used to edit your photo!

That's it! Now go out and shoot!
