Final Fantasy Creator Hironobu Sakaguchi "Working on a Project for iPhone"

It's nothing more than a quartet of lines in a Happy New Year Note, but it signals that yet another high profile game designer -- in this case Final Fantasy's Hironobu Sakaguchi -- is thinking iPhone in 2010:
Oh, by the way, We are also working on a project for iPhone.
This should be released soon as well.
We will put our efforts together and do our best!
I'm sure you'll Love it.
Will it be Final Fantasy for iPhone? A version of his "long-awaited new blockbuster"? Something new entirely? Let us know if you have any ideas, but our excitement over another year of iPhone gaming is already going into overdrive.

I will be a happy man if they can port FF7 to the IPHONE or at least some typ of FF game I hope !!!!! I wonder can the iPhone handle such a game Any one out there know if it can ????
Hironobu Sakaguchi is not involved with Square anymore and therefore I don't see how this can be anything to do with Final Fantasy.
Sakaguchi left Square and started Mistwalker, a studio that has released games for the 360 (notably Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon).
PSX4iPhone for jailbreakers. FF7 runs great on 3gS.
Now that's the kind of iPhone news I like to hear.
I'd love if they were bringing an all new FF experience to the iPhone. The story lines in those games are some of the best out there. Maybe it will be a port of an old one, like FF VI. That was one of my absolute favorites and it could EASILY run on all iPhone platforms.
Yeah, as much as I want it. This will not be a final fantasy game. He's not involved with square Enix anymore.
It can't be Final Fantasy since Sakaguchi doesn't own the IP and no longer works for Square Enix, who do own it. I could see it being Lost Odyssey or Blue Dragon. Maybe an all new IP all together.
@Johnny
running a game with no sound at 80% speed is far from great. Final fantasy games are experiences that include sound and require precise timing of events so you can become emotionally connected to the game.
I hope like hell that it's my long-awaited Chrono Trigger remake.
