Classic Karateka game coming to iOS

As any retro gaming aficionado will tell you, Karateka is a classic even among classics. It was built on an Apple II computer by Jordan Mechner and released in 1984. And now it's coming to iOS. The goal is still to save Mariko from the evil Warlord Akuma, but instead of one hero with one life, you now get three heroes with one life each, including the True Love, the Monk, and the Brute.

Angry Birds Space updates with 10 new levels

The popular Rovio game Angry Birds Space has been updated with 10 new volcanic levels. The story is that the Bad Piggies are still hiding out on the fire planet with the Mars Curiosity Rover and there's a new boss level that features the robotic explorer.

Rovio releases Angry Birds Star Wars gameplay trailer

We're only about a week and a half away from the November 8 release of Angry Bird Star Wars and Rovio has released a video teaser that shows some actual gameplay footage. This video reveals that the red bird will be like Luke Skywalker and be able to tear down structures by whirling his lightsaber while colliding with them, and the pink bird will be playing the roll as Princess Leah and have the ability to call down laser fire during her descent.

Sonic Jump by SEGA for iPhone and iPad review

Sonic Jump for iPhone and iPad is, in a nutshell, SEGA's version of the popular platform jumper Doodle Jump that features SEGA's iconic character Sonic the Hedgehog. There are two games modes, Story and Arcade, where you must jump and tilt your way up the levels collecting coins, defeating enemies, gaining abilities, and battling Dr. Eggman.

Zynga lays off employees in midst of Apple event

Zynga, in an obvious attempt to avoid bad press, laid off some 100-odd employees during Apple's iPad mini event today. A total of 5% of their full-time staff are now gone, and were given two hours to clear out of the office according to inside sources.
