But the ipad supports a mouse and keyboard right? Sure there are things that you still can't do with an ipad compared to a laptop but cut and paste and typing shouldn't be deterrents to getting an ipad. I have a '13 13" MacBook Air and will be getting my first ipad in the '13 ipad mini, the iPad Air is too similar in size and lacking in features compared to my MacBook Air.

Sure! I still default to the MacBook for Final Cut Pro X, PhotoShop, etc. But I use the iPad for a lot of other stuff.
