GameStop to sell phones and service through Cricket partnership
Cricket Wireless will partner with GameStop that will allow the no-contract provider subsidiary of AT&T to offer a selection of its smartphones and accessories in over 2,800 of GameStop stores in the US.
In today's announcement, Cricket Wireless says that GameStop customers will be able to sell their old consoles, smartphones and other electronics products to save on the purchase of a new phone from Cricket. Cricket also points out they and GameStop each have their own reward programs, adding, "The Cricket and GameStop relationship unlocks exciting and unique rewards possibilities for the future - amazing offers, new ways to save, exclusive extras and more."
The rollout of Cricket's phones and services in GameStop stores is expected to be completed at the end of October. What do you think about this team up between a smartphone provider and a gaming retailer?
