The PlayStation official app is now available in the App Store. Before you get too excited though, the app does not let you play any games and seems to be available just in Europe.
The app lets you view your gaming trophies and those of your friends when you are signed into the app with your PlayStation Network ID and password. You can also access information on the complete catalogue of games available on the PSN, PS3, PS2 and PSP. A short write up is available for each game and you can share the information via Twitter, Facebook and email if you are so inclined. There are also links to news from PlayStation.com and the PlayStation.Blog and that is about it.
The free app is available today and has been released with English, Dutch, French, German, Italian and Spanish language support. It is compatible with the iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad as long as you are running iOS 4.0 and greater.
