What do you think Apple will announce at the iPad mini event? [Poll]

We've put up our iPad mini event preview, where we went through all the stuff we think Apple may announce tomorrow at their October event. So now it's your turn! What are your predictions?

Since we keep calling it the iPad mini event, we really kind of hope that'll be on the official Keynote list, but what else do you expect to see? Updated iPad 3? A new iMac and Mac mini? What about a 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro? Any chance for a new Mac Pro or Retina MacBook Air? Too soon? To physically impossible?

Any updates on deck for peripherals? Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad 2? A newer, better keyboard maybe? New Thunderbolt displays with USB 3?

And how about software? iTunes 11 seems almost certain, but could there be more to it than we've seen so far? Could iOS 6.1 make an appearance? What about iOS 6.0.1? And what features would you want to see?

Could there be a new version of iLife and more urgently, iWork for Mac? Aperture, Final Cut Pro, or Logic due for an update?

iBooks 3.0 should get shown off, but will iBooks for Mac? Will any brand new apps debut? Anything exclusive to the iPad mini?

We're less than a day away, this is your last chance to weigh in -- what to do you expect to see at Apple's Oct. 23 event? Vote in the poll up top and then give me your full predictions in the comments below!

What do you think Apple will announce at the iPad mini event? [Poll]

If there is an updated iPad (3rd gen) then we think the only change will be the Lightning connector. Too risky to put in any major component upgrades now, since we're already in the holiday quarter. (And it's better to save the upgrades for the 4th gen iPad anyway.)

If just the connector change then that would be a downgrade. Less functionality. Less compatibility.

I will most likely get the iPad mini for web browsing at home away from my computer and maybe games too.

I just got an macbook air 13" and now I wish I waited for this....ughh.....what can you say, there's always something better around the corner right.

I think the retina macbook air is the one you have to wait for though......

I think we'll see an iPad Mini (obviously), Mac Mini (I know someone who is testing one), Retina MacBook Pro 13", and probably show iTunes 11.

I hope for a 17" mb pro. And still hoping for no mini... That's the first step into f*cking up the company and they did the same thing when Jobs was kicked out in late 90's... But this time there will be nobody cleaning the mess afterwards

I'm sitting on a pile of hard earned cash waiting for the new iMacs. I've already used all the tricks I know to temper my wife, and if they don't announce something today she'll force me to buy an "old" one.

I really hope they won't let us down, we, desktop users.

Maybe this is the reason they called the ipad 3 the "new" ipad. They were just waiting to release the actual ipad 3 name during this event.
