Hands on with Tiny Troopers 2 for iOS at GDC 2012

Live from GDC Simon and I went hands-on with Chillingo's latest tile, Tiny Troopers 2. If you're familiar with the first game, the sequel brings you more of the same great stuff -- more gear, more guns, more machines, more mayhem. We're talking Humvee's with .50 caliber machine guns.

Check out the video up top and if you like what you see, Tiny Troopers 2 has just hit the App Store so go grab it now.

I was about to download this last night but got Nitro instead. Looks like I'm going to have to download it now lol.

You heard about this last year and you're barely bringing it up?! LOL

Greengold says:

It's not as free as this article would lead you to believe.

vesperdem says:

It's also not very "EA" either. The article does mention that Chillingo is involved, but it mentions: "Tiny Troopers 2 is free-to-play, like most of EA's titles these days, but they appear to be well balanced and don't seem to get in the way of the game."

It's neither "free-to-play" (as Greengold commented) or from Electronic Arts.

Andrew Lima says:

It looks interesting. Moreover because it's by Chillingo. Very excited.

NOT FREE>>>>>NOT FREE. BAD report. did you fall ASLEEP AT THE WHEEL.

While this game isn't free, it looks interesting due to the combat system. I would love to be able to play with friends as well; kinda like an MMORPG feel to it? I'm slightly disappointed that you labeled it as free when it is actually $0.99

Rene Ritchie says:

Fixed the price, it's a buck. Sorry about that!

No problem. I had to download it illegally in order to try it; like I do with all apps. This game is PHENOMENAL. Sure it is Freemium, but you can repeat levels and gain medals and dog tags really easy in order to purchase upgrades. You are not pigeonholed into spending real money in order to advance.

The cinematics and graphics are amazing as well as an intriguing storyline. Very impressed with this game. Decided to buy it properly through App Store after about 5 minutes of playing with it.

Very happy!
