Rumor: Apple to offer up to $61 off iPad, $41 off iPod touch on Black Friday

9to5Mac's Mark Gurman has gotten his hands on what looks to be an Apple Black Friday brochure, and once again it seems like small discounts are all we're getting on Apple gear

iPads will go from $41-$61 discounts depending on capacity (16GB, 32GB, 64GB), the iPod nano will shave off $11 for both 8GB and 16GB storage sizes, the iPod touch will follow the iPad’s lead of bigger discounts for bigger capacities, ranging from $21-$41 discounts.

Some accessories and peripherals will also be marked down, including $11 off iPad SmartCovers, for what's typically Apple's only sale of the year.

If you're trying to figure our what to buy this year so you can best take advantage of the sales, check out TiPb's 2011 holiday gift guides.

Rumor: Apple to offer up to $61 off iPad, $41 off iPod touch on Black Friday

Apple store cashier accidentally admitted this to me yesterday when I went and bought my iPad 2. He caught himself and said "you didn't hear that from me". Haha. I said I'd be back Friday for the difference.

Honestly, the fact that Apple is doing ANYTHING for Black Friday after the massive sales numbers they've put together over the last few years amazes me. It's not like there's any less people that want an Apple product, and I certainly don't think that 9 - 12% discounting will make a huge dent in the market.
That being said, I wish the discount applied to Refurbished items; I'd snag a refurb iPad 2 at a double discount in a heartbeat.

Check Microcenter (in store only). I recieved an email ad from them stating that the iPad 2 will be $50 off for all models. Says nothing about that store discounting any other apple products.
Still have the email for evidence.

You can get refurbs for those discounts at apple store. Which you probably should given they come with applecare for a year.

You guys whine too much. Apple doesn't give me a discount wahhh! Shut up and pay for the d@mn device you want or go buy a cheap android knock off.

I know, right? It takes about five hours to stand in line and actually buy something on Black Friday... Minimum wage is $7.50, so if you worked for the time you stood in line (for minimum wage), you wouldn't be losing money anyway.
