Apple's iTunes App Store is featuring tons and tons of sales this weekend, some for Black Friday, some for Cyber Monday, some for the entire weekend. We know that no matter how cheap some apps start off, there's always a commenter who says "meh, I'd buy it for half that" -- so now we're looking at you, sir! Put your money where your anonymous internet chatter is and go get some great, and greatly en-cheapened apps!

Apple Black Friday Sale Goes Live in Oz -- 10% Discounts on iPod, Apple TV, Macs

Those waiting for the US (and UK, Canadian, etc. honorific) Apple Online Store's Black Friday Sale -- the only sale Apple ever does -- can get a sneak preview as it's already Black Friday in Australia and Apple's deals are live. Call us down-underwhelmed (groan, we know) but really, who expected anything more than 8%-10% of iPod touch, iPods in general, Apple TV, and Macs?

If you're in Oz and have been waiting to pull the trigger, pull away. If you're in the UK or North America, check it out and see if there's anything pull-worthy for ya.

Apple Online Store Teases Black Friday Sales

Apple Online Store has exactly one sale a year -- "Black Friday" on the day after US Thanksgiving, and this year that falls November 27. While there's no way of knowing exactly what will be on sale, and how much the savings will be (though they're never much), Apple is getting their tease on already:

Black Friday Sales = App Discounts!

Well, not strictly speaking, as some Apps are being discounted for more than just the day, and others have even gone up in price, but if you check out sites like AppShopper's Price Tracker, you can see that some bargains are to be had!

Some deals are sure sweeter than what Apple Retail is offering off the iPhone (nothing!) and iPod Touch (a tiny bit!).

I might just pick up BeeJive for $9. If you find any sweet App deals, or any great deals on iPhone/iPod Touch outside Apple, please let us know in the comments!

Apple Store Down! Black Friday Cometh!

The countdown has begun? Will we get super-cheaper-more-subsidized iPhones? Eh... probably not. Maybe some cash off the iPod Touch, though, along with the rest of the iPod line, and a few bills off the MacBooks.

Some rumors say bigger discounts than years past. Others maintain the same old, same slim.

We'll know soon enough!

If you manage to snag any great Apple discount swag, let us know!

Apple Announces Black Friday Sale

Apple has begun sending out notices about their annual "Black Friday" sale, so named because it's theoretically a shopping day so monumental it tips the retail balances out of the red (losing money) and into the black (making profit). Years past have seen $100 off MacBooks, for example, though rumors this year suggest Apple might be more aggressive with their sale.

Cyber Monday, the trendy follow-up where people have mulled over everything they didn't buy on Black Friday and make use of once-were-faster office internet connections to order stuff online, is typically ignored by Apple, so those wanting even a little savings should definitely not miss out Friday.

Will iPhone's see any discount love? We don't expect so, given their already hugely subsidized price, but we remain ever hopeful!
