iPhone Murder: ZOMG No! Smashed Edition

Human on iPhone crime is out of control. First they were shooting iPhones. Now what? Beating them to death? Once again, I have to believe these iPhones were drugged first, otherwise I'm certain the beatings would have decidedly gone the other way. BAM! Mike Tyson overhand right. POW! Georges St-Pierre tackle. BOOM! Steve Jobs MobileMe-drop for the kill!

Check out Gizmodo for the whole mellow-harshening gallery... if you can stand it.

If you look at the pictures in Gizmodo, the "plastic" backing actually help up really well and didn't shatter like most people thought it would. I'm impressed.

    what a waste. Awful.

    Cost of iPhone 3G - $199

Cost of ETF because of destroyed iPhone 3G - $150

Getting a cheap thrill (along with 20 seconds of stress reduction and exercise) then having the entire World Wide Web think you're an idiot for posting your stupid idea - Priceless (but, only to you)

2 - Then take a look at the "Will it blend" show with the iPhone 3G, then you'll be impressed. At the very end of the video, after having blended it 3G, he pours it out on the table, and holds up a rather large piece of the plastic-backing thats still intact.

Pretty, uhm, ironic, that not even the Blendtec blenders were able to completely destroy the plastic-backing, but the heat the iPhone itself generates, is enough to get it cracking :/

what is also impressive is the amount of "hits" the phone took before the screen went blank. it survived a couple of pretty decent shots before it broke. way to go apple!!!
