iPhone 3.0: Swipe to Delete Contact Info
Not sure if this is new to Beta 4, or if it appeared earlier in iPhone 3.0, but it’s the first we’ve seen of it so we’re passing it along. What is it exactly? Simply go to Contacts, pick a name, and then swipe to call up the red “Delete” button that we all know and love from Email and other, previous apps going all the way back to iPhone 1.x.
Nice way to speed up removing unwanted or outdated information. Thanks Apple!
(And thanks Adam for the tip!)

I think swipe delete also works with notes
I hope this works in the iPod as well, you can delete movies and music videos but not songs.
This does work with note as well
I wish it would work on annoying people.
It will be nice to have this option in recent calls list to delete one by one instend of the whole thing at once
it would be nicer if you could blow on the mic to delete contacts, files, etc. An idea to be developed?
Blow on the mic? What happens when you sneeze? That deletes your entire phone and your MobileMe account too I suppose?
working with notes
@icebike what are u talking about if u blow on the mic it won’t delete anything
sorry icebike I did not see you were reply to javier
@Javier THAT WOULD BE A BAD IDEA u would end up delete all your contacts
It also works in beta 3, not sure about 1 or 2
Blow into the mic? Now why would anyone want to be required to raise the iPhone up their mouth to blow into something when they already have their fingers right there ready to swipe… and so they can actually SEE what’s happening?
:
I would love to be able to blow into the mic and it delete contacts! Brilliant!
(It’s quite obvious many of don’t understand nor can you grasp the concept of “sarcasm”)
It’s quite obvious you’re sorely mistaken.
