Next Generation iPhone: Black Bezel, LCD Screen?
ChinaOnTrade.com, which sells iPhone parts reportedly directly from the factory, has thrown up some images and ordering options for 3rd generation iPhone bevels and screens.
If they're to be believed, the iPhone loses its silvery-chrome outer ring for a black band (as previously rumored?) that seems to indicate Apple will be moving things around a tad -- functionally as well as cosmetically?
Bad news for OLED hopefuls, as Gizmodo says the purported screen is still LCD, though iLounge points out it's price is double that of the 3G screen ($73 vs. $35). Hmm...

Whats weird is if you look at the last pic under the LCD part... The description doesnt match the title. it says 4G 2009 LCD Screen when the title says 3Gen 2009 LCD. I would tend to think this is fake. Im not a OLED hopeful (although it would be nice) so Im not trying to destroy rumors, but thats a pretty bad typo if it is in fact a typo.
So the front will look more like the iPod touch? I wouldn't mind if the front edges were a little shaper like the touch

But I think the idea of the black frame sounds good.
But then again who knows if it's legitamate or not until they announce it.
The black bezel in the photos stops at the top of screen, which would mean it would have to have a 2-piece bezel (or something other than a bezel around the top). One thing I always liked about the iPhone, and seems very Apple-esque, is that the iPhone, on the outside, appears to be just three physical pieces, which fit so well together they're practically seamless: the glass screen, the silvery bezel, and the plastic back. The bezel pictured seems like it would feel less seamless, and I'm not sure I'd like that.
I have to admit though, that it seems like someone making a fake black iPhone bezel would make it the same as the current one, which goes all around the phone in one piece.
On the other side, the icon images showing the iPhone 2,1 in the 3.0 SDK show the same silvery bezel as the current iPhone 3G (although those images could just be placeholders until the actual product is announced).
The "new" bezel appears to have the speaker hole built into it.. This would mean they're moving up the speaker for either a bigger screen, or a video-conferencing/self-portrait/youtube quickcapture camera...
Either of those options would make me pull an Andy Samberg on my pants.

Don't mean to dab way off topic here, but I've been dying to ask this. @Rene I'm sure you remeber kent pribbernow of the former "theiphoneblog" (the original owner) well he used to do Something called free wallpaper Friday. Remember? Well I think it'd be extremly rad if you were to bring that back! Especially now that you can save images from safari. This way I don't have to use horrid apps that provide terrible wallpapers. As an original tipb fanboy, I thank you. -nick.
It'd probably need OLED to get me to upgrade, I'm not happy with battery life as-is.
why is this newsworthy? i'm so bored about reading about the next iphone, it's not interesting! 3 posts a day about rumours and speculation is really tiring.

There are lots of Rumors like this but anyone of them come true any day, Who knows If this one is come from a reliable source. But its true We all are expecting some big change in next ipod touch and these rumors drive us to think lol
There is some detail, like a button, on top of the iPhone bezel, centered. What the hell is this for?!
It looks like the black is not "true black" but more like a smokey chrome. There is probably a term for this, but it could be really cool. The hole at the top looks like it's the speaker hole for sure. Did you notice the circular cut-out on the right side? I held up my iphone in landscape mode and put my finger where the circular cut-out would be - camera button??
Okay - I have a prediction - this being brought on my the observation of the camera button. the big "this changes everything" moment at the unveiling will be that the new iphone will have a 5.0 mega pixel camera, with a xenon flash. The tag line will be that the pics it will take are better than most consumer digital cameras. It will also have some Apple mac tie-in magic that will make every one say ohhhhh, ahhhhh!
Or, they could just be labelled iPhone 4G to sell more screens. ........................................................
What are the red arrows in the pictures pointing to? Is it showing that there are new buttons being put in? I don't currently have an iPhone so I can't compare with the picture.
these all gadgets are look very nice and you give very nice detail regarding this.I think it all come in very reasonable price I am very excited about this.after knowing regarding prices I will defiantly buy this.
