Well I agree with Heath, I use my iPhone for more then 90% of my web surfing. I only turn my computer on to download a movie or if there is a facebook video I need to see. With such a great browser and YouTube on the iPhone there really isn't much need for a computer for a browser. Back before I switched to iPhone I would use steel browser on my g1 with iPhone setting so pages would load almost as good as the iPhone.

@Kaiks, that would explain the rumor that Apple approached AdMob before Google swallowed them up.

I wonder if Apple has considered creating their own 'Admob' inspired ad service.
Then they could stop approving free Apps supported by Admob and force developers to use their hypothetical service.
In the past year I've clicked on an ad twice, once my finger slipped.

This is flawed. What are the details of this "test"? I doubt a majority of Windows Mobile users are even being counted because there are various browsers available, most of which have browser ID tags identifying as coming from a desktop (Opera, for example, which is default on all new HTC devices)!
Even better, Torch/Iris (a personal favorite of mine) identifies itself as an iPhone browser. So my WM phone browsing with Iris might have helped inflate the iPhone part of the pie chart!

Gah. Statistics are often slanted, but this really seems weak without explaining the data behind it...

I agree it's misleading. Symbian users don't have admob ads stuffed in their faces using apps. No doubt Apple is waaaay ahead, but not as much as this indicates.

Really interesting.

In Asia, Nokia is the clear leader with over 90% of the traffic coming from Nokia handsets on most Asian markets. In the UK it is the other way around, with iPhone serving for 74% of the mobile web traffic.

Also interesting is that all of the manufacturers except for Apple, RIM and HTC are losing share of the mobile web traffic. And there is no question - during the last year Apple is the fastest grower!
