Vodafone UK Launches iPhone, 50,000 Estimated on First Day
And the UK adds Vodafone to their official iPhone carriers list, rounding out O2, Orange, and resellers like Tesco, and users are excited enough that sales were expected to hit 50,000 on the first day.
Anyone switch over, or finally getting an iPhone just to run on Voda?

Got a friend that works for Vodafone, according to her they’re sold out and won’t be getting any new stock for about a week. As far switching goes, I’m really tempted. I did a speed test between Vodafone and Orange (couldn’t do O2 cause there was no reception, they’re cr@p!) with two 3gs’s and Vodafone wiped the floor with Orange every time. Gonna have to wait and see what happens with the 4G before making a decision.
At this point numbers really don’t matter that much besides make Nexus One look bad.
Bring out the iPhone OS 4.0 or whatever!
Two more weeks of waiting, I’m getting impatient.
I have a Motorola phone on Orange which is really on its last legs, but I’m holding out until June/July for the 4th generation iPhone. Vodafone would be a good choice to turn to, but my girlfriend and workmates have never had problems with O2. I think it mostly affects London, but this should change since they’re planning to create about 1500 new network sites, with about 200 in London alone. But it’s good to have more choice with operators. Missing major ones are T-Mobile (I know they merge with Orange, but that’s not for over a year, so there’s still time); Virgin; 3 (who said they will get the iPhone in the near future); Asda Mobile; and Talk Mobile. If Apple can get on all of these (with the option of unlocking their SIM cards, as O2 currently offer), then that would provide a solution of everyone.
During my time in the UK I had a top up O2. Great service. Never any complaints.
I have an iPhone 3gs on Vodafone network for the last four months (use to be on O2 before) I must say that Vodafone networks is top notch….
