Verizon Android Incredible vs iPhone
Our sibling site Android Central has just published a full review of the Verizon Droid Incredible — the latest Google superphone Android competition to the iPhone. (And yes, it does seem like they’re coming more than once a month now — we feel bad for Phil!).
It’s pretty much a gussied-up Nexus One with Sense UI, which you’d think would make it a Desire but it bumps a few specs (like an 8mp camera with dual LED flash) and a CDMA radio (which the Nexus One was supposed to do but hasn’t yet, and the iPhone keeps being rumored to do but hasn’t yet either).
All three devices are by HTC, who Apple is suing for patent infringement, and their ability to keep dropping high-end Android bombs like this is likely the reason why. Say what you want about software fragmentation, highly restricted app storage, and OLED screens you may or may not be able to see out in the daylight, the absolutely relentless improvements in UI and hardware both is very much in keeping with the robotic nature of the brand.
Apple of course is widely expected to counter this summer not only with the multitasking iPhone OS 4 (see our complete preview and feature walkthrough), but with 4th generation hardware leaps of its own — front facing camera, huge 960×640 display, and only Jobs knows what else.
Whether those iPhone on Verizon rumors finally pan out along with it, or in September, or only in 2011 we don’t know, but our advice to potential buyers remains the same as in our iPhone vs. Nexus One: which should you buy?. Check that post for details, but in broad strokes:
If you have to get a new phone right now and you want AT&T, the 2009 iPhone 3GS (see our review) remains head of that class. If you want Verizon, however, the Incredible is certainly a credible choice. The original Droid has a hardware keyboard (lackluster though it may be) and the Nexus One has the Google rather than HTC Sense UI (though who knows when it will actually ship?) so it’s an embarrassment of Android riches over in Big Red land. (If you’re on Sprint, it’s EVO 4G ‘natch).
If you can wait until the summer and aren’t fussy about carriers, Google may have another (two, three?) Androids on the market by then, but we have a sneaky suspicion Apple and iPhone HD (it won’t be called iPhone 4G) along with iPhone OS 4 will be the ones to watch in 2010. Again.
Head on over to Android Central’s complete Verizon Droid Incredible coverage for more, and let us know what you think — is it incredible?

I love how in EVERY article and Twitter update it is reitterated that it won’t be called the iPhone 4G. Sheesh way to beat a dead horse.
omg agreed @thedeadbabay
So the front facing camera thing is real then huh. It better just be for photography purposes because iChat and video calling might not work as well if I’m still getting dropped calls from the iPhone. #justsayin
What does “‘natch” mean?
Wow I hope that iPhone leak images is faked because it looks fugly compared to the original models. XO I’m not sure if Apple can keep with these once a year models as Android just have a wide variety of awesome hardware. The one catching my eye is the Evo 4G.
I’m confident that there won’t be iPhone on Verizon, possible iCamera, or iChat(but with out the video calling.), possible flash for camera in apple logo, staying on at&t, still on 3G network in the US, longer battery life, new hardware, five megapixel camera, better photo and video management, better resolution, and completely(almost)re-designed OS with new features every will enjoy (: i can’t wait!
sorry, i ment.. “everyone wil enjoy.”
this comparison isnt even fair
Can you plz stop saying “not iPhone 4G”? It’s beyond annoying. It makes me want a Sprint iPhone just to spite you, mmkay?
8mp cam is useless with that small sensor, which is why Apple hasn’t dropped a phone with a 5 mp cam.
@OmariJames:
firstly, this isn’t Twitter. Second, it would more likely be used for iChat which would be a data application, not video calling which is charged separately by the carrier.
And just because your crappy service wouldn’t make use of it, why say “it better be for this”… Obviously it will be able to take pictures as well.
lol it would be soo funny if Apple did name the new iPhone “iPhone 4G”. that would make u guys look sooo stupid haha. just a thought
it’s possible that they may name the new iPhone “iPhone 4″, then the iPhone after that “iPhone 4G” that would make sense I think.
what’s wrong with calling it the 4G for now? it IS gonna be the 4th Generation. most people don’t know what a 4G network is anyway.
I’m thinking of moving to iPhone OS coming off of a webOS device. I love webOS so I really need to hear from the Apple community an answer for why its worth it to switch. The main things for me are multitasking, notifications, and everyday tasks in general. How many steps is it to find a user and text or email them – I do this a lot? Also checking email how is this on iPhone? I know webOS has an awesome unified inbox and need to know if iPhone does something similar to this. Copy and paste? I love coping URLS etc from one card and pasting in another… is there something similar to this?
No unified inbox till 4.0. Basic multitasking coming in 4.0 too. As for ease of use the iPhone UI is rather snappy. SMS, calls etc are all fast to open and use. I personally will probably be going android for my next phone. The HTC phoes have all come on massively and apple seems to be just tightening it’s grip on the platform too much. I don’t like the arbitrary “thou shalt not” stance that they are taking more and more.
@Xacto01,
Let me help you out. While the Pre is a fantastic phone its still lacking in certain areas, just like the iPhone, no phone is perfect after all. But the iPhone does beat the Pre in certain areas, for example…
Copy and Paste, there just isn’t a better implementation than the iPhones. You can copy from anywhere and paste almost where ever you want. Whether its text, images, video, whatever you can pretty much copy almost everything. And its super easy to use.
Multitasking, the Pre has a better looking solution for it. But it comes at a price, having used a Pre I can attest to this. Simply put its very slow and laggy and because it lets applications that don’t have to run in the background do so (is there any need to have a calendar, notes app, calculator, run in the background?) the battery life is very poor even by iPhone standards. With iPhone OS 4.0 you get multitasking, while it’s not as visually appealing as the WebOS’s, it gets the job done without sacrificing battery life and performance.
Finding a user and texting or emailing them is very fast. Double click the home button to bring up spotlight search, type the name of whoever you’re looking for and you can text or email them straight away. Also as you know, iPhone OS 4.0 will have a unified mail box, Hallelujah!
Notifications is one area where the Pre wipes the floor with the iPhone, simply put the iPhone has the worst notification system in the smartphone arena. Its an intrusive and obtrusive mess that constantly gets in the way. Plus because notification badges are spread over multiple home screens you’ll often lose track of how many notifications you have. Hopefully Apple will come to their senses and take a leaf out of WebOS’s book when it comes to notifications.
The iPhone also has the best media player out there with the iPod, the best and most stable web browser in Mobile Safari, the greatest selection of apps with the App Store (you’ve got 185,000 choices), the best and most accurately responsive touch screen in the industry and its still the easiest to use, period. The Pre is a fantastic phone, but it lacks the precision, polish and finish that the iPhone offers. And with iPhone OS 4.0 it just got even better. If you make the switch you won’t be disappointed.
@Xacto01, ps, if you want a phone thats intuitive and easy to use, don’t go Android.
I don’t see why u guys would scratch out superphine when it does the basics that the iPhone just now catching up on. Either way it’s not all that
@Xacto01 & @Dragonfly
Okay, lets clear some things up really quick. If you are moving from a Pre to an iPhone and your main items of interest are multitasking and notifications then you are going to be very upset. The Pre is a multitasking monster. There simply isn’t a better multitasking implementation out there. Even iPhone 4.0 multitasking is crippled multitasking. The other thing is notifications. The Pre IMHO has the best notifications as well. After having the Pre, even the notifications on my Droid are annoying. I use my iPhone as an iPod Touch now and I still hate the notifications. The iPhone has the worst again IMHO. The two things you are worried about you are the Pre’s best selling points.
For finding users I find the Pre is easier, but I prefer hardware keyboards for this reason. From your home screen just start typing. If in an app, you just swipe up and start typing. The universal search goes to work. With the iPhone, you can do the same thing as Dragonfly said. Double tap to spotlight search and start typing. The only problem is you loose whatever you were just doing (not exactly how the kinda-multitasking is actually going to handle this once 4.0 is here – we can only work off of native apps right now).
With email, the iPhone again doesn’t hold a candle to the Pre. Love the unified inbox. I hate having to back button, back button, back button, account button just to see another account on the iPhone. I am actually looking forward to seeing the unified inbox on 4.0 cause it’s something that always annoyed me on the iPhone.
One thing I want to clear up is Cut and Paste. The iPhone BY FAR does not have the best cut and paste implementation. That title is easily held by Blackberry. You CANNOT cut and paste from anywhere as Dragonfly said. You can in most places that you would like to be able to, but not anywhere. iPhone however does have better cut and paste functions than the Pre. Pre’s is getting better, but still not on par with iPhone and neither can touch Blackberry on this feature.
As far as apps of course the Pre doesn’t hold a candle to the iPhone. But again, think of the apps that you are actually going to use. No one is going to use 185,000 apps. No one is going to use 2000 apps (I hope, I could be wrong
I only had a few apps that I missed on my Pre from my iPhone. Yet still there are apps I miss from my Pre and iPhone that aren’t on my current phone the Droid. But I’ve found apps on the Droid (I think actually only two) that aren’t available on the Pre or iPhone (you would think that with 185,000 apps, they wouldn’t miss a thing).
iPhone of course blows the Pre out of the water as a media player. Simply because the iPhone truly is an iPod first and a phone second.
I would say stick with the Pre until iPhone 4.0 comes out. Then find a friend with one and spend a couple hours with it. Don’t go to the store cause you don’t get to see everything in a real world environment.
My current configuration is a Droid as my phone which is pretty annoying but has some good features that I love. I still have my iPhone that I use as an iPod Touch. I use to carry both all the time, but have finally gotten to the point that I usually keep my iPhone in the backpack and only break it out for listening to music or playing games. Once the BB Bold 9650 is released, I will use my upgrade to try that out. If it works well (cause i need business backing), then I will keep it, otherwise, I’m going back to the Pre Plus on Verizon.
Major props to Apple for adding Bluetooth handsfree voice dialing when the 3GS came out. I’ve been emailing Verizon and Google and commiserating with the other would be Android owners but this issue still sits out there with no one addressing it, no end in sight.
@ Bob,
“The Pre is a multitasking monster.”
I agree, but it comes at a price. It makes for a laggy and slow OS.
“The Pre IMHO has the best notifications”
Correct, like I said the iPhone is simply the worst in this area.
“Double tap to spotlight search and start typing. The only problem is you loose whatever you were just doing (not exactly how the kinda-multitasking is actually going to handle this once 4.0 is here”
This issue has been rectified in OS 4.0, you can simply double tap the home button and go back to where you where before.
“The iPhone BY FAR does not have the best cut and paste implementation. That title is easily held by Blackberry.”
I have to completely disagree with you on this. The iPhone has by far and a way the most intuitive Cut, copy, paste UI period.
“But I’ve found apps on the Droid (I think actually only two) that aren’t available on the Pre or iPhone (you would think that with 185,000 apps, they wouldn’t miss a thing).”
Yes, but the Android market does not match the iPhone’s App Store in terms of App quality, polish and finish. Most of the issues you raised (other than widgets and notification UI) have been rectified with OS 4.0.
Best advice is to wait if you want a phone on at&t or sprint. Verizon has the Plus Pre with free wifi hotspot. That trumps any of the droid offerings over there for now.
@dragonfly,
what were those 2 app you found on the droid that weren’t on the iphone ?
@zero credibility,
I think that questions meant for Bob.
Don’t get used to that double tap home button, it sounds like Apple will remove all options for double tap (bring up media controls, ..err forget what else since I only use that and will miss it greatly) and only let it be used for bringing up multi-tasking.
The iphone is now playing catch up to the android devices. The latest 2.1 has all the specs the iphone 4.0 has and more. When the next iteration of andorid comes out again apple will again be behind. Someone said if you want a easy intuitive phone the iphone is it. Exactly its not that smart, android is actually very easy to use and has advanced features. And to the comment that the iphone store has more and better apps. You must mean the 50,000 fart/noise apps. Enough said! With the EVO for sprint with direct to HDMI, high def, fast processor, and 4g the iphone 4g is already obsolete. Oh yes it has a front facing camera. Im sure Jobs is throwing that in due to the evo.
Right, anyone who thinks that the G4 iPhone will have a front facing camera because of the EVO, go find a book called Product Development Cycles for Dummies and read it. The EVO and the Incredible are great devices and HTC Sense once again makes Android a MUCH better user experience day to day. iPhone needs notifications a la WebOS (preferably) or Android and Android needs to polish up some sore thumb UI and experience elements (the music player still reeks in basic Android). I would say that speaking simply of software, the iPhone 4 and Android 2.1 w/Sense aren’t that far apart. The iPhone certainly lags by not having an SDCard slot or HDMI out, but Android Apps (self signed for more bank info stealing goodness!) have been so trained to look for an SDCard that if you install something on an Incredible without an SDCard you get EPIC FAIL as the software mostly doesn’t expect anyone to have any decent sized internal memory. Both sides have work to do. The noise in the App Store is pretty easy to ignore, IMHO.
@TED my point exactly…for all of you who say “stop complaining” or “use a different phone”…you do not pay my phone bill and you didnt buy my iPhone…so I can complain ALL i want…but hopefully APPLE is listening…because if this year’s HARDWARE update is anything like last year’s LACKLUSTER…I’m moving on up to EVO
@jonar1us makes a good point – Apple cannot afford to rest on their laurels — Android with Sense is a feasible alternative and if HTC buys Palm, LOOK OUT!
I’m glad to see all these new Android devices coming out every month. Just keep fragmenting. With all these devices and no clear leader, they’ll never develop the kind of aftermarket the iPhone has.
Fragmentation has to do with the version of the OS. This really is not an issue. People use windows and are on different versions, and even within verions there are different service packs. Most developers have no issues with this. Its just a area that the tech reviewers are harping on. What android does leave you with is choices and the android market will work accross those choices.
“….No one is going to use 185,000 apps. No one is going to use 2000 apps…”.
This does make sense to me whatsoever. You are correct, NO ONE will use all 185,000 apps. But, that is not the point of having so a robust catalogue of apps. The point is the huge variety of apps offered for almost everything. If you are into mythology or if you need tools to value investments, App store offers something for you. If you are a History buff or you are a fan of the dental profession, App store offers something for you. Bottom line – no other mobile platform offers a selection apps like Apple’s App store. Not EVEN close (over time this change but no time soon).
“What android does leave you with is choices and the android market will work accross those choices.”
Where the fragmentation comes in is that some apps are only usable (full stop) or usable (not enough power) on devices of a certain OS level. There are apps that won’t run on Cupcake that run great on Eclair — some of that is OS level and some is the level of hardware typically running that OS release. Which OS is used can be limited by the hardware or slowed down by Sense development. That and the different screensizes can result in fragmentation. There are absolutely ways to deal with this however and El Goog needs to move faster on helping devs avoid the pitfalls that result in fragmentation. It’s not purely a hypothetical for tech reviewers to harp on.
@Ted,
“You must mean the 50,000 ****/noise apps”
Please, don’t feed us that excuse for Androids lack of Apps. I’m pretty sure if the iPhone App Store was a 145,000 apps behind the Android Market you’d be bragging about it. And on top of that the App Store still has plenty of quality apps, you just need to read reviews to find the right ones.
“With the EVO for sprint with direct to HDMI, high def, fast processor, and 4g the iphone 4g is already obsolete.”
Have you seen the iPhone 4G? No, do you know what its capable of? No, so how do you know wether or not its obsolete?
“Oh yes it has a front facing camera. Im sure Jobs is throwing that in due to the eve.”
Yes, the EVO has a front facing camera, but whats it going to do with it? When will you guys learn, its not about what you do, its about how you do it. The 4G will probably be using iChat, does Android have anything to compete with that? The iPhone still beats any Android phone in the areas that count and matter the most to consumers, it beats any Android phone on usability.
Media Play back: Amazon Music Store vs iTunes, iPod vs Android media player. iPhone wins no matter how you play it.
Touch Screen, we’ve all seen the tests that crown the iPhone as the most accurate screen out there.
Web Browser: Android phones like the Nexus one might be faster for now, but thats only because of the 1GHZ processor. When the G4/HD iPhone is released with an A4 chip we’ll see who’s on top in speed. Usability however is a different story, the iPhone is still the most intuitive experience.
Apps: App Store vs Android Market, 185,000 vs 38,000. Say what you will, but numbers don’t lie. And the App Store wins in terms of app quality, just take a look at the Facebook apps on the respective platforms.
Games? No contest. TKO! The iPhone wins easy.
These are the things normal people care about, not wether or not it has a HDMI port, thats for nerds to worry about.
@jonar1us I Like how you say “for all of you who say “stop complaining” or “use a different phone you do not pay my phone bill and you didnt buy my iPhone so I’ll complain all I want. But then you say your going to move up to EVO. So…..you don’t want people to tell you to use a different phone. Your going to tell them. Lol gotcha.
The Sony Ericssons Are The Only Phone That Compete, The Xperia X10, Is The Only Phone That Is Nearly As Good As An Iphone.
@Dragonfly
I am not use that as an excuse. Anroid added 9000 apps just last month. The quailty of the apps are up there as well. And the evo has video conferencing cability by the way I called htc. So that is the purpose of the front facing camera. And amazon mp3 happens to be a great alternative to itunes. I like some odler songs whch are not available on itunes. I find them on amazon, plus the new stuff. And its drm free, I can move them to an ipod if I wanted in the future. The same cannot be said about itunes music. You are locked in. You need special software to move it.
And based on all the leaks for the iphone 4g I am basing that opinion on.
@Ian, have you used the Xperia X10? I have, and it’s a complete disaster! It has to be the worst out of all the new Android phones coming out.
“And its drm free, I can move them to an ipod if I wanted in the future. The same cannot be said about itunes music. You are locked in. You need special software to move it.”
iTunes music is now DRM free.
@Bob and Dragonfly
thank you for providing two different point of views. It actually helps a lot by looking at both point of views. As of me, i’m ready to end my sprint contract in June when the iPhone 4 comes out. My dad has a 3GS so i will be able to test OS 4 out in advance before buying it. Thank you guys.
HOw is the Incredible fragments android? HTC Sense UI is almost a year old … 2.1 updates SENSE UI … if anything it makes the SENSE UI compatible with MORE APPS .. .
Every OS is fragemented including your beloved Iphone OS …
@Dragonfly
Sorry but the iPhone doesn’t win that easy. In fact it doesn’t win at all. You can have games…thats a fair assesment. Media playback? All I need the thing to do is play the media. Media playback is quickly becoming a last ditch excuse. Web Browser – The Incredible wins. If you’d take a look at some video you’d see the enhanced cut and paste options and also the fact that when you zoom in and out the Android text reformatting gets to work and makes sure you don’t have to scroll left and right to see the main text. Browser usability is in the hands of Sense but personally I preferred stock Android to the iPhone browser as well. And why do you bring up iChat as an advantage for the front facing camera. You do know that Google Talk does video right? Advantage erased.
In a nutshell the iPhone only appears to be easier to use because it has lacked functionality until now with iPhone OS 4. And as soon as it was demoed some people were complaining that simplicity and usability were going out of the window. Some people just want to have a phone that doesn’t do much. But since 1.5 Android has been the more usable phone. You have far more customization options and the widgets put it over the top. You can actually get information when you unlock your phone instead of a grid of icons. The application paradigm of a stack of screens and being able to get back to what you were doing with a back button is a serious step over navigation on an iPhone. Anyone will admit to the superior notification system of Android. Then theres the new leap feature in sense to quickly get around your desktop and the scenes feature that allows you to have completely different and switchable desktop setups. Honestly the iPhone quickly begins to look quite limited for someone interested in capabilities. It may continue to reign with those that need training wheels but it lags Android for a power user.
@Blaque and Dragonfly ‘
The Iphone is great for media and games … which is why the Ipod touch is great …
but as far as getting things done … customizing, flexibility Android wins hands down…
@Blaque,
“It may continue to reign with those that need training wheels but it lags Android for a power user”
Exactly, normal users out number power users by a huge margin. Hence my previous post, the iPhone wins in the areas that matter the most.
They’ll have to pry the iphone from my cold dead hands before I jump over to the copycats at Google! They, Google, have become Microsoft. FRACK GOOGLE!
I like how you call Android a copy like the iPhone was “the first” smartphone. I have owned a lot of smartphones from iPhone to blackberry to webos to back to iPhone and now Android. The iPhone OS is polished and pretty but required a lot of updating and new hardware to get there. Just like all mobile OS’s. Android is well on its way to stardom as well. Ill admit, I’m intrigued by the new iPhone hardware and will definetly check it out but as I have found to be true in all versions of the OS to date you really need to jailbreak to get a great experience. The only other problem I have is that at&t charges a premium for a lackluster network. My reason for switching was a lot of dropped calls. Then they upgraded to 3g in my area so I thought their service might improve….not a chance. So verizon and Android it is…
Ok, there is an easy way to tackle this discussion. Only consider the facts. The iPhone has a had some good innovations that sets it apart for many people. It has had very good sales which shows its popularity. Android is growing at a faster rate than any other smartphone OS out there. The iPhone is launched every year. Android phones are continuously being pushed out every month or so. Looking at specs the iPhone should be on par with what is available today , give or take a little bit. Given the growth of the Android market rate, and the fact that a huge amount of Flash developers will son have the ability to port to AIR for Android its only a short matter of time that Android will overtake the App store. the iPhone wont support the full web as it is today, regardless of HTML5 and CSS3, the web today has Flash in it, the iPhone or iPad dont have Flash. iPhone will continue to be a niche product.
All these facts points to Android eventually outgrowing and outselling the iPhone. This may be due to the high price of the iPhone or the fast development cycle of Android.
From me personally, I would like to just say that I had and Android phone first, then got an iPhone for development. Although the iPhone is nicer in lots of things, eg. browsing, copy paste, build quality, In the end I like Android much more. I just feel a lot more disconnected with the iPhone. The notifications system is sub par to Android in all ways.
Lastly, Apple is too controlling, I hope Android is the eventual winner, for the good of consumers.
after 3 htc phones I have been living with an iphone for about a year now. A quality phone lots of great features,good software. But I’m goin back to htc. I need a stylus for accurate cut and paste, The keyboard is awful after a year I still am not as fast as I was with my touch dual. I like the screen. I like a lot of the apps but sooooo many apps are useless junk. I’d say 3/4 of the ones I tried. I do like one button my bank, one button my streaming radio, lots of cool stuff but not the work horse my HTC was. My spreadsheets were so much easier to access in WM, The voice recognition in bluetooth I could ask “what is my next appointment and get an accurate response as well as dialing and other functions. It also had a front facing camera like the next gen iphone and I had that almost 3 years ago! Not to mention about 20 percent of websites I visit use flash player and my iphone cant access them. I cant save my photos to a memory card and stick it in my laptop to transfer images while using the phone.I had an extra battery for my touch when on the road I could swap. iphone software flowed smoothly but I had to crack the phone in order to run backgrounding software, which I lost on the last update. in order to switch between programs I needed warranty voiding software Email attachments the iphone about 1/3 of my email attachments do not work and the ones that work are through a 3rd party app
I would just like to add my two cents. I am an iphone 3g owner, waiting to upgrade to the “2010″ version this summer, whatever they are going to call it. Im 30yrs old, I always try and stay current with technology and Ive had alot of different phones. In my opinion iphone is my favorite so far. (i didnt say best) It does everything I want it to do. My friend just got the Incredible and seems to really like it. But he only bought it cause he has verizion. And his brother has another Droid phone. See the problem is, they combined have gone through like 4 different phones, since I bought my iphone. It just seems to me that because there are alot of options for them, they are spending soo much money trying to have the “best phone”. And to be honest they do have some cool features on their phones, better cameras, faster this, faster that, a flash. All things that are important right?? I dont always agree. I have a very nice DSLR camera, for taking hi res pics, so camera doesnt bother me. I also have a computer at home, so lightning fast speeds, dont really bother me either. I mean my iphone is not the fastest searching the internet, but it always works, and is what, maybe a second or two slower than there new phones. I mean does that really matter? Anyway, I like the way my phone plays music, but honestly I have an ipod, 2 actually, so i dont really load that much music on my phone. I like that i dont have to buy or load memory cards. I have a 16gb 3g with about 100 or so apps, and like a few hundered songs on it, and I literally have like 14gb of space still left on it. So why do i need a removeable memory card? Connecting my phone with a mini hdmi cable?? For what?? I will say the screen on the Incredible is very nice and clear, now that is a feature I am a lil bit jealous of. Oh and I absolutely had the speaker phone on my iphone!!! It sucks. I had a blackberry before my iphone, and that speaker is nice and loud and clear. Apple, please beef up the speaker on the next iphone, for music and speaker phone calls. Ok, I would like to have a flash, but like i said before, ive had flash on other camera phones, but we all know that they dont work that great, so i dont miss it too much. But it would def be nice to have it back. So it seems that iphone usually fixes the things I dont like with every update. So we’ll have to see what they bring to the table this summer. But come on people, there is no need to get mad at each other because of what kind of phone you have, or what service you use. Its so stupid. Oh one last thing, ive had sprint, verizion, and now at&t. Sprint was by far the absolute worst!!! Verizion was good, most expensive though. I switched to at&t just to get an iphone, and to be honest, I really have no complaints. On average, I would say, I drop a call approx once or twice a month. There is this one street where I live that just has a weird dead spot for about a block. And this is S.Jersey just outside of Philadlephia. Everywhere else is pretty good. And always 3G network coverage. Oh yeah, Go Flyers!!
Sorry that was supposed to say “I absolutely HATE the speaker phone on my iphone”
Sorry it was suppposed to say, “”Oh and I absolutely hate the speaker phone on my iphone!!!”
The speaker in the incredible is SOOOO good.
“iPhone HD (it won’t be called iPhone 4G)”… so much so for that prediction! It’s actually called the iPhone 4… and I’m pretty sure once AT&T gets a 4G network, they’ll call it iPhone 4G… so boo ya!
It wont be called the iPhone4g when ATT upgrades to 4g networks. The phone has no 4g antenna in itself it cant be 4g its not just the network. Maybe next year if ATT has a 4g network the new iPhone will be called the iPhone 4g.
If it weren’t for the IPhone AT&T would have been sold for parts awhile ago, their network blows.
Hiya all just discovered the location and thought I would say hello. I like a lot of you are waiting for my Unimaginable to be shipped. I ordered it on-line on 6/9 they usually maintain telling me it’s going to ship this Wednesday 6/30. Fingers crossed that it does this waiting is killing me! I’m soo glad this site may be very informative to me. Thanks
