Pangea's iOS games free until Friday morning

Looking for some fun games for your iOS device, but don't want to pony up any cash for them? Pangea Software has you covered. They've released all of their iOS games for free, but act fast, because on Friday morning they go back to their usual prices, anywhere from $1 to $4 each.

Pangea Software has been making games for Apple devices for decades, but they jumped on the iOS development bandwagon early on, bringing forth iOS versions of their Mac games like the flying action game Nanosaur 2, the 50s-era sci fi 3D platformer Otto Matic, and the cart racer Cro-Mag Rally. Since then, they've added plenty of iOS originals to the mix.

Recently the company has focused on "freemium" fare that's free to download but unlocked with additional features using In App Purchases. Still, the company's back catalog of games includes a number of fun titles that still cost money to download and play.

The complete list of free games includes:

  • Monkey Bongo
  • Billy Frontier
  • Jive Turkey Shoot
  • Cro-Mag Rally
  • Warheads
  • Enigmo
  • Enigmo 2
  • Enigmo Deluxe
  • Nucleus
  • Air Wings
  • Air Wings Intergalactic
  • Nanosaur 2
  • Bugdom 2
  • Otto Matic
  • Quarters!!
  • Antimatter

Pangea's iOS games free until Friday morning

I'm so not a gamer except for Angry Birds and the only game I ever finished was Parachute Ninja. Any recommendations? Anyone?... Bueller? I do recognize Cro-Mag Rally and Air Wings from the pre-Intel Mac days. LOL

thanks for the tip! Installed Monkey Bongo and Enigmo 2... had the first Enigmo already. Couldn't find Enigmo Deluxe and Warheads isn't free (There's an ad version that's free but the regular version still costs). Also had Cro-Mag Rally before... Passed out on the others.

Yep... It's still free in the Pakistani store as well as seemingly on the US store.

Apparently the games are not free across all app stores? Or most likely are based off of the specific store's time zones. 'Coz though i see it free in US store right now, switching to Italy shows 2.69 (whatever their currency is)...

I really enjoyed Pangea's games on my first Mac -specially Bugdom and Nanosaur- back in the early 2000s, so I couldn't resist and grab some of them for free, thank you!!!!!
