The iPhone Blog Week in Review for December 08, 2008
Every week I will be bringing you what I think are the week’s biggest stories and articles. Let’s get started, after the break!
This is cool! Now there is another awesome streaming service besides YouTube for the iPhone; Joost! This service offers TV shows and more... plus it is free. What is the downside? Wi-Fi only. Well, I was excited...
Google Calendar, now easier to setup in iCal
Before you has to enter the settings manually, now they give you a simple app to set up. I love Google almost as much as Apple. Now, if Google would only start to make some native apps of their productivity tools like Blogger, Docs...
Who doesn't want one. However, I am not sure I am willing to pay for it. My vote, $400+ bones.
Review: Maximo Metal Isolation Headset
Brian serves up another review! Not everyone likes the Apple headphones (really?) So if you are looking for an in-ear solution, this might be the one for you! Different sized ear buds too!
Yes, Apple's long awaited new headset is here. The part I don't get is why the volume controls don't work on the iPhone??? My guess? They will in a future iPhone firmware update.
Well, it is about time Apple! Developers now can give out up to 50 promo codes to anyone (like me perhaps?) to do reviews or beta test software. Way to go Apple!
Look no further than iTunes to tell you the top music, movies, TV shows, apps and games for your iPhone/iPod. There is some good stuff here, so check it out!
Well, I am not a sports guy, but if you are, you will definitely want to check out Brian's latest App v. App: Sportacular versus SportsTap! Who wins? You will have to read to find out!
Turn Wi-Fi on when the cellular radio is off!
No joke! This is simple and not a hack! Argh... why didn't I ever think of trying this...OK, no comments please...
I love developers and listening to what they have to say about the iPhone. This latest interview is with David Perry Didev (previously of Shiny, for those of us that remember...)
Whoa, $99, 4GB iPhone at Walmart?
Well, if AT&T's network can handle the existing volume of iPhones on AT&T's network, why not just open the flood gate and add a couple million more, eh?
What? Apple fan-boys are not the only crazy ones?
Well, David Pogue seems to think that the the BlackBerry crowd just might be! Well, I mean when you call the latest flagship BlackBerry a big pile of poo...
Review: PDA Skins Horizontal Case Organizer
Brian is unstoppable this week! If headphones weren't enough, he reviews a cool side pouch case. To be honest, the side pouch case is one of my favorite designs. How did Brian like it? Read on to find out!
Apple has 10,000 apps in the App Store
Wow. In less than three months. Hmm, well let's see, Apple has the most advanced mobile computing platform, easy development tools, a solid distribution model... makes sense to me!
Forum Review: Brothers in Arms: Hour of Heroes
This game is awesome! I bough it day one. Not much else to say on this.
