HTC targets iPhone users with its new Sync Manager desktop application

HTC announced the HTC One last week which is its latest flagship device running on the Android operating system. It appears that HTC believes it can pull current iPhone users away from iOS and onto android with its latest device and it is going all out to help people do just that by releasing software that can access an iPhone’s backup file. According to CNET Asia, HTC will soon be releasing an update to its desktop Sync Manager software that will have the ability to open up an iPhone’s backup file that has been created through an iTunes backup.

iOS 6.1 has been out for a while now -- and iOS 6.1.1 just hit for the iPhone 4S -- so we're wondering how your battery life is doing? It seems every time Apple pushed out an update, some people get better battery life, others get worse battery life, and many just stay the same.

Part of this good be fresh starts with fresh versions cleaning out cruft that has built up for a while, or it could be bit-rot from old installs backed up and restored far too often. Apple sales in India estimated to be up 400% in 3 months

Apple's sales in India are reportedly up 400% in 3 months according to IDC estimates. India is one of those emerging markets, alongside Russia and Brazil, that Apple is keeping a very close eye on. Chinese source claims iPhone 5S as well as a 5-inch iPhone 6 to launch this year

According to a Chines media outlet, Apple is rumoured to be planning on releasing two iPhone models later this year. The first model is the expected iPhone 5s which will have the same form factor as the current iPhone 5 and the second rumored release will be the device that we keep hearing about, the 5-inch iPhone.

Sprint reports Q4 2012 results, 2.2 million iPhones sold

Sprint has announced their Q4 2012 financial results, and along with net operating revenue of $35.3 billion, including $21.7 billion from wireless, with an annual operating loss of 1.8 billion. Sprint sold 2.2 million iPhones, 38% of which went to new customers. No Q4 smartphone total was given, but Sprint also reported their 2012 full year results, which included approximately 20 million smartphones sold, more than 6.6 million of which were iPhones, 40% of which went to new customers.
