Verizon iPhone pre-orders sell out

In just about 18 hours the Verizon iPhone 4 pre-orders have sold out with Verizon now saying:

We are no longer taking pre-sale orders.Experience yours when it's available online and in stores.ONLINE 02.09.11 3:01 AM ESTIN STORES 02.10.11 7:00 AM local time

even with a few rough patches, I wonder how many they went through -- 1 million? More? Did you manage to get yours?
