Create a time capsule of your life with little memory for iPhone
little memory is a an app that helps you remember the little things in your life by showing you what happened in your life exactly one year, month, or week ago. Every day, you simply make a small entry of what you'd like to remember and once you have enough entries, little memory will show you past memories. It's easy to remember big things, but little memory will help you remember small things like that trip you took to the park with your baby when she thought woods chips were simply amazing.
To help you remember to make a daily entry, little memory will send you a notification at a specific time every day. For many people, you'll probably want to choose a time at the end of the day when the kids are in bed and you're winding down before bed, as this is when you'll be most likely to actually make an entry. The beauty of little memory is that it actually restricts you to short entries (max of 210 characters) so keeping up with your journaling doesn't feel like a chore.
In addition to text, little memory also allows you to attach one photo to each entry, adding a visual element to your memories. What's great about this is that if you can't think of what you'd like to add for the day, you can simply browse through the photos you took that day since you only take photos of things you think are interesting. Then you can add a sentence or two about why you took the photo. Unfortunately, little memory only includes 7 photo credits and you must purchase a subscription to get an unlimited number of them. You are able to view your memories on the web, so I assume that's why they don't allow unlimited photos to begin with.
If you like, you can share you memories with your friends over email, messages, Facebook, or Twitter. I definitely see myself sharing past memories about my kids with my husband so that we can think back to those special moments together.
In addition to seeing old memories, little memory will also give you insights about your entires that looks for patterns like commonly used words and emotions so that you can see a snapshot of what you write about most and how you're feeling. These insights go back 3 months, but if you signup for the previously mentioned subscription, you can go back to when you first started using little memory.
A subscription to a premium little memory account is $3.99 per month, $22.99 per 6 months, or $42.00 per year. Don't let these prices scare you off, though, as little memory is very usable without a subscription plan. I wouldn't even consider signing up until I had been using the app for at least 3 months.

I just picked up little memory, today, but I look forward to using it on a daily basis. I love to blog and journal, but it's often times a bit of a chore to actually do because I feel obligated to put in at least a little bit of effort. With little memory, all I need to do is enter a sentence or two about something I want to remember about my day (good or bad) and I'm done! I have a habit of spending a few minutes on my iPhone while laying in bed every night, so this is when I plan to make my entries. I can't wait until I start seeing past memories.
