Apple Watch sales training said to focus on the customer's style

Apple may be taking a slightly different approach to selling the Apple Watch in store than they have with any of their previous devices.

Apple is reportedly training its employees to focus on building relationships with customers and making fashion recommendations to get them the right Apple Watch. Apple employees will be going through training that will give them various examples of interactions with customers to help them decide which Apple Watch and band would be best for them.

Apple Watch apps: Best practices when designing for the wrist

The Apple Watch will ship on April 24 — which means that, right now, developers and designers are hard at work on the first generation of Apple Watch apps.

Currently limited to actionable notifications (short and long looks), widgets (glances), and remote views (WatchKit apps), even though Apple Watch apps are bound to the iPhone, there's still boundless potential. I've tried several smartwatches and bands, seen most of what's on the market, and I've even been lucky enough to use the Apple Watch both back in September and recently again in March, where third-party apps were showcased. Those apps, the ones listed on the Apple Watch App Store apps page, benefited from time in the labs and testing on actual hardware. For those who didn't get that opportunity, after a lot of conversations with a lot of smart and experienced people, here's a list of things that are vital to keep in mind.

Should you get AppleCare+ for the Apple Watch?

Every Apple Watch comes with AppleCare but also with the option to upgrade to AppleCare+

The free level of AppleCare includes a one year limited warranty on hardware repairs, and 90 days of free technical support. On the Apple Watch and OLED displays

On the Apple Watch and OLED displays

All Apple has said about the Apple Watch display is that it's 'flexible Retina', yet it's widely believed to be OLED.

That's interesting because Apple has thus far eschewed OLED (organic light-emmitting diode) displays for iPhone and iPad due to what the company said were the compromises needed to produce the panel at those sizes. At Apple Watch size, where power efficiency is the priority, those compromises start to fall in OLED's favor.
