Showtime's Dexter for iPhone Slashes Into App Store

Dexter fans can now visit the App Store and pick up their favorite serial killers very own iPhone game for $5.99. iTunes 9 Software Walkthrough

Along with iPhone 3.1 and the new iPod nano, iTunes 9 was the big news at Apple's It's only rock and roll but I like it annual music event. And for iPhone and iPod touch users -- our focus here at TiPb -- a large part of that 3.1 update (see our iPhone 3.1 walkthrough) comes from iTunes 9.

Inside iTunes LP: No DRM, Lots of WebKit

At Apple's annual special music event, this year dubbed "It's only rock and roll, but we like it" they announced a new, old-style album-centric offering called iTunes LP. The image painted was of a young Steve Jobs, grabbing his bike, riding to the music store, buying the latest Dylan on vinyl, racing home, putting it on his turn table, and then lying back and listening, while pouring over the album art, liner material, lyrics, and other extras.

Sprint CEOh-Snap: Comparing Palm Pre to iPhone is "like comparing someone to Michael Jordan"

Sprint CEO Dan Hesse was put on Charlie Rose's hot seat and asked the pointed question: "Is the Palm Pre making a dent into the iPhone market?"

Hesse's response?

Aaah... It's-it's doing well, but you can almost put the iPhone, to be fair, in a separate category. The Apple brand and that device have done so well, it's almost not... it's like comparing someone to Michael Jordan.

Third Gen iPod touch Chip Supports 802.11n Wi-Fi, Has Space for nano-style Camera

We'd heard rumors that the iPhone 3GS would be getting fast 802.11n Wi-Fi to go along with that S for Speed, but that never panned out -- except for the new third generation iPod touch.

Dear Apple: Can the iPhone App Store Have a Community Developer Manager Too?
