Apple is now in the top five PC vendors worldwide when going off of units shipped. The latest numbers from the IDC show Apple growing 8.9 percent year-over-year as they move 4.9 million Mac computers in the third quarter.
Apple is now in third place for domestic PC shipments, with HP and Dell ahead. Domestic Mac shipments for Apple increased 9.3 percent year-over-year. The overall shipments of PCs in the United States totaled 17.3 million, a growth of 4.3 percent.
