I got the email (4 times!) and did what it said, and after the 3.0.1 update was applied, I see that all my Movies, TV Shows, Music, and Podcasts are gone. (Photos still there.) So I guess the bug had already bitten. I hope everything re-syncs OK, or I will be a pretty unhappy camper.
