iOS 8 review: 3 months later
Three months ago we reviewed iOS 8, arguably the most jam-packed versions of the iPhone and iPad operating system we've seen since the introduction of the App Store back in 2008. Since then we've gotten updates — up to iOS 8.1.2 on the production branch and iOS 8.2 beta 2 on the developer branch. We've gotten bug fixes, performance enhancements, and even more new features. But with the good comes the bad. With new possibilities come new frustrations and with new workflows come new bugs. So, how has it held up? How are we liking iOS 8 now, some three months later?

Procreate Pocket continues to offer an array of brushes, layers, adjustments for hue, saturation, and brightness, and continuous auto-save, so you never have to worry about losing your masterpiece. At the same time, the devs have updated their iPad app with iCloud Drive, AirDrop, and AirPrint support, along with Palm Support, which allows you to use touch gestures while resting your hand on the screen.

Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai is now available for Mac, introducing the acclaimed standalone expansion pack by developer The Creative Assembly and published by Sega. Joining the base version of this expansion pack will be a Collection Edition, which includes four faction packs. Total War: Shogun 2 was released on Mac back in July.

Amazon launches Prime Now to deliver essential goods to your doorstep within the hour
Amazon is rolling out a new service called Prime Now through which the retailer will offer one-hour deliveries of essential goods when ordered via the dedicated Prime Now app. The service is exclusively available to current Prime subscribers, and is live in Manhattan, with more cities to follow in 2015.

UK operators will invest £5 billion in infrastructure to solve network 'not-spots'
The UK government has managed to reach an agreement with local operators to work on the issue of nationwide 'not-spots': areas restricting access to basic mobile functions due to weak signal coverage. EE, O2, Three and Vodafone will invest a guaranteed £5 billion to improve mobile infrastructure by 2017 with the aim to provide 90 per cent of the UK with both voice and text coverage.

New tax changes could affect App Store pricing for E.U. shoppers
Apple has sent out an email to iTunes Connect developers announcing a change in how taxes are calculated for App Store purchases in the European Union. Starting January 1, 2015, Apple will charge customers the value-added tax, or VAT, rate based on the country in which they reside rather than calculating a flat VAT rate for all countries in the European Union.

Judge rules against making Steve Jobs' taped deposition public
Apple may have scored a major victory in its recent iTunes antitrust case this week, but the wins keep on coming. District Court Judge Yvonne Gonzales Rogers said on Wednesday that Steve Jobs' deposition, videotaped shortly before his death in 2011, will not be made public.
