Review + Giveaway: Choiix Wave Stand for iPad
The Choiix Wave Stand for iPad is an aluminum holder that will work for any tablet. It's beautiful looking -- almost Apple-esque -- well-made, sturdy, and inexpensive, what's not to love?
The Wave Stand has lots of nice touches like rubberized feet to keep it in place even when you're tapping, typing and prodding at your iPad. The back of the stand is also rubberized and grooved to keep your iPad from slipping down or out. You can easily adjust angles and because it's strong, it stays right where you want it. You can use it with your iPad in either portrait or landscape mode, though in landscape mode pushing the iPad home button does make it wiggle a bit. (You can use your iOS 5 multitasking gestures to get around that.)
I've been using it all the time and I find it absolutely amazing. I use it at the table so I can browse the web while eating, on the counter while cooking, and on the desk while typing.

I would give this to my wife as a gift, that way she could setup her iPad on the stand, for when she is in the kitchen or elsewhere doing stuff, and wants to have the iPad handy, but can't just set it down.

I work in a lab environment and use my iPad all the time. U have a homemade stand but it's jank.

I would it for entertainment, having a good way to hold my iPad while i watch movies and being able to have it on an exact angle that im comfortable with it, and I would also use it to show my parents videos and website so that they would not have to fuss about holding it and accidentally pressing something! I would find much use out of this :)

Just bought an iPad2 for my daughter for Christmas. This would be a great addition for her. She is disabled and it would be so helpful for her to use her new iPad.

We use our iPad in the kitchen for both recipes and streaming video/email. This stand would pair up nicely with the stainless steel appliances. :)

I need a sturdier stand for work, currently I use the smart cover, which is nice and all, but sometimes the iPad wobbles when I use it.

When I travel, I have to edit photos on only 1 monitor. With this stand and the air display would make my workflow on the road much faster.
This would be PERFECT! I need a stand for the kitchen. I usually lean my iPad against the wall when I am cooking (the iPad is a great recipe book), but when you turn the garbage disposal on, the counter vibrates and the iPad slips down onto the counter/cutting-board I was just cutting chicken on.

I could find a million uses for this thing - what a great stand to replace the folding case I have on there now. Reading an e-book, FaceTime with my daughter and family out of town, watching videos (Mobile Nations video podcasts) at my desk......
I would use this as a stand when 1) I use the Ipad as an external monitor at my desk and 2) preparing meals in the kitchen 3) use it when I have guests over to play music and show pictures 4) use it to show pictures when I am doing a presentation for my job.

I would definitely use it tutoring and to show my 2 new little pit bull puppies cute You tube videos of puppies just like them. The student I tutor loves zoo webcams like Pocket Zoo HD and Penguins. My puppies are curious and like anything with action. Right now my little girl puppy is in surgery for a hernia. I am a little concerned because she is so tiny. Her brother is in my lap sound asleep and snoring. I am keeping my mind occupied by writing this!

As I use my iPad in class to keep track of my notes for lecture/discussion, a stand with multiple angles wold be o much better than leaning the iPad against a couple of books.

I would love one for my wife. She just recently lost use of her left hand. She uses her IPad for work and play.
Being an attorney I use my iPad all day long. At present I do not have a stand as I just got the IPad. I would use the stand to propl up the iPad so I can look at evidence and tril presentations. It would also be useful in court to have the iPad standing up so I can refer to it.
Too many uses to count, let's see: on my desk next to my computer monitor, when reading on my desk, on my night stand to use as a lock, on the kitchen counter reading a recipe, hold my iPad up to view a movie, etc.....

This stand would work perfect at my business. I use an iPad to display pictures/ advertisements for my clients, which currently I have a plate holder as a stand.

So, I've spent about 20 years looking for the perfect bedside clock. They were too bright, not bright enough, numbers too small, did not have a long enough cord, would not play a musical alarm, projected the time on the ceiling, which I couldn't read without my glasses. I just wanted something to see the time large enough without waking completely-- so that when I was paranoid of sleeping through my alarm, I could go back to sleep. Strange, I know.
Ipad has solved all of this with Night Stand. Love IT!!!
But my rolled up cover is not holding the pad at quite the right angle. I have to sit up a bit, which wakes me up just too much.

I would use this with my Numark iDJ Live. I recently DJ'd at my friend's birthday party and he got a little drunk and fell over my iPad (destroying the plastic stand that the iDJ unit came with). Now my iPad is 'stand-less' when I am DJing so having this stand would definitely make things a lot better :) Please pick me ^_^

I have a smart cover (and love it), but it really doesn't achieve the proper angle for many things when standing up in the more vertical position (it's perfect in the more 'laying down' position). So, I'd use this while typing with a BT keyboard, in the kitchen while cooking, or to just hold the iPad up at my desk while I'm working on my desktop (I kind of work between my iPad and desktop as I work).
