iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 given the ‘Will it Blend’ treatment

Love them or hate them, every year Blendtec tests out its latest power blender against the latest tech toys. Normally we don’t have to wait very long for the latest iPhone to get the treatment; last year it was on launch day and the blending managed to upset quite a few folks who couldn’t get their hands on one for whatever reason. This year we have had to wait a few weeks since launch and it’s done a bit differently to normal. Blendtec has pitted the iPhone 5 against the Samsung Galaxy S3.

It's time for Tom to get a new phone. So which one should he get? The new iPhone 5, or the Samsung Galaxy S3? You know how he will decide. Which blends best.

As you would expect, both phones end up as a pile of dust; such a waste of expensive electronics. Having said that, it is a great marketing initiative by Blendtec, at the time of writing, the video has already received over 106,000 views and was only released yesterday. Not a bad way to create interest in your blenders for just the cost of a couple of phones.

iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy S3 given the ‘Will it Blend’ treatment

Kinda surprised me that the S3 lasted longer. I figured that plastic would be pretty vulnerable, but it bounced around a lot while the iPhone's aluminum just kinda dug in. You also wouldn't think that blending batteries would be very safe.

not only that... that plastic didn't even got a scratch ...during iPhone's gorilla glass was already a powder... the SG3's processor which is the same material as iPhone's also just bounced around... its out of question that this video was faked ... the real question here is how much did Samy the Skunk payed for this ad... or how much it would cost that GS3 will not blend at all ???...
that's really sad... things used to be about fun in the old days... now they are all just about money

Hopefully that kind of marketing doesn't help... but what's that famous phrase, "there is a sucker born ever minute"? If you want to blend phones, get a Blendtec, I guess. If you are a chef or want a blender that is industrial quality and can do more than a traditional blender, get a VitaMix. If you are only going to make a margarita or mole now and then, just buy something decent like a KitchenAid.

I like U'r comments SteveW.., they're always spot on.... luckily there is a genius for it... born every minute too...
