Mailbox for iPhone launches, get your spot in line now

Mailbox, the new email app from Orchestra is now available in the App Store. Mailbox is an attempt to rethink email for mobile devices and allows you to organize and prioritize your email like a to-do list. You can set a time to be reminded about the email from a number of presets or your own custom reminder schedule. Currently Gmail-only, Orchestra says that support for more email platforms is coming soon.

In order to use Mailbox, you must make a reservation, and they are accumulating quickly. Once you have your number, you can see both how many people are still ahead of you and how many people are behind you. The number is already in the hundreds of thousands, so be sure to get your reservation as soon as you can if you want to use the app.

The number ahead of me is now 170,494 (just over 1000, in 18 hours!). The number behind me has almost tripled, now up to almost 362K!

I have been seeing 56,000+ in front of me for "hours." At this rate, I'll get to see the program around Halloween.....

agreed. i have 160k in front of me and it seems like its seriously not moving at all. i wonder if theres any accuracy to the number. it doesn't seem very efficient even though i know they want to limit the number of users at first!

I am still happy that I have not reserved that app. I really don't want my email to pass through their server

no thank you, I'll pass

About 172,504 and not moving fast. I downloaded it, my phone will alert me when it's ready so I'm gonna forget it for now and wait for the alert. Nothing to loose. Hope it's worth it!

WTF, are that many people really waiting on this thing. First it's gmail only. Second, WTF is wrong with email now????? This is trying to fix something that isn't broken.
